In order to business online, businesses must be able to control how customer data is treated and handled after it has experienced a lifecycle in its data warehouses.<\/p>\n<p>For example, customers may request that you delete their personal identifiable data on a one-off basis. You may also need to automatically delete customers&#8217; personal identifiable data including conversations after 30 days have elapsed based on local laws.<\/p>\n<p>The good news is that Re:amaze has all the necessary tools for you to enforce these data policies!<\/p>\n<p>There are\u00a0numerous ways to delete customer data from Re:amaze:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deleting the customer&#8217;s contact profile and anonymizing data<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The contact profile can be deleted in its entirety while keeping conversation histories intact. Doing so will preserve the content of the messages but change the contact profile to &#8220;Someone&#8221;. There are two ways to do this:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>You can open a conversation, click on &#8220;Archive&#8221; and then &#8220;Delete&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>You can go to the main inbox&#8217;s &#8220;Archived&#8221; filter and search for the customer&#8217;s name, email address, or phone number.
